PHOENIX CANARIENSIS
Synonym: Canary Palm.
Slow-growing palm tree suitable for areas with a mild Mediterranean climate that withstands drought and sea winds well. Even if it burns some of its leaves, it recovers the new ones.
It is quite rustic but sensitive to some pests and diseases. In addition, it is not very resistant to transplants, so it is necessary to make a good root ball that will remain intact after transplanting for at least 6 months.
Produces ample shade due to its large crown and long, arching, bright green leaves. It is a dioecious Palm with flowers that bloom in April and a fruit similar to dates, but not edible.
