CITRUS PARADISIS
Synonym: Grapefruit
It is a subtropical species that does not tolerate frost, since both the flowers, the fruits and the vegetation suffer. Therefore, it is a light-hungry species for the flowering and fruiting processes, being very sensitive to the wind.
As for soils, it prefers sandy or sandy-loam, deep, fresh and without limestone. It does not tolerate salinity, although the use of patterns is a solution to this problem. They demand a lot of fertilizer (macro and micronutrients).
The slightly flattened globe-shaped fruit, with a smooth or rough rind, can be pale yellow or reddish in color with numerous digestive, stomachic and antiseptic qualities.
